June 6, 2024, marks the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. Join us as we follow along the path where America’s best and brightest fought in World War II and honor her heroes in Normandy at the official 80th Anniversary of D-Day commemorations.
Stephen E. Ambrose himself designed our D-Day tour, and he was the first to lead this WWII tour in the late 1970s. The itinerary is based on thousands of hours of interviews with D-Day veterans, studying of the battlefields, and other World War II research.
Thanks to our historians’ experience with the terrain and its history, we are able to present a D-Day Tour that is unmatched in its authenticity.
You will begin in England, where planning for this great undertaking occurred, cross the English Channel to the Normandy beaches, and continue on to Holland and Bastogne, where you will see where the Americans rallied and stopped the massive German attack.
The optional post-tour extension includes a visit to the historic city of Nuremberg for a guided tour of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds and Nuremberg Trials Courtroom 600, a tour of Munich and Dachau Concentration Camp, and a day trip to Berchtesgaden to visit the Obersalzberg bunker and Eagle’s Nest.
We will also offer a Canadian D-Day Tour that will focus on all the Canadian and British sites in Normandy, as well as Private D-Day Tours for organizations, schools, and family and friends.
Each 80th Anniversary of D-Day Tour will have its own Professional Historian (our historians are hands down the best D-Day historians you can travel with), who will lead the tour, lecture and be available to answers questions, as well as a Tour Manager, who will ensure that logistics run smoothly.
