We just returned from the New York Times Travel Show, where we met so many fellow history and travel fans. The Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours booth was packed all three days. Owner Yakir Katz along with our historians, Kevin Hymel (In Patton’s Footsteps Tour), Rick Beyer (The Ghost Army Tour) and Mark Bielski (Civil War tours, WWII in Poland and Germany Tour), regaled our new friends in the aisles of the Javits Center with stories of our Lewis and Clark, Civil War and WWII tours and what it was like to work with Stephen Ambrose. Folks took selfies by our cutout of The Kiss and watched our new WWII tour videos.
Our one and only Terri Sercovich, whom many of you have had the pleasure to work with, was interviewed for a post on the travel blog, The Cultured Black Pearl, about our WWII and American history tours.
As noted by The Cultured Black Pearl:
“The New York Times Travel Show took place this weekend in New York City at the Jacob Javits Center. Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours was there to offer history buffs memories of a lifetime with their broad array of historical tours. These historical tours guide travelers through the battlefields of Europe, Civil War, and the Pacific.
Terri Sercovich explains how solo travelers, couples and groups alike enjoy roaming trails and following in the footsteps of America’s war heroes. Narrated and guided by expert historians, travelers on the D-Day Tour, Band of Brothers® Tours or WWI Tours embark on a 15-day journey through Europe. Experience accurate storytelling and precision while standing in foxholes of the most pivotal battles in history.
One of the most popular tours is the Band of Brothers® Tour. This guided tour is based on the personal testimony of paratroopers combined with the extensive research of Stephen E. Ambrose, author of best-selling book Band of Brothers.”
We had a fabulous time and hope that you will join us for the festivities next year!
