Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours is delighted to announce that General Charles (Casey) Brower will be the historian for the August 7-19, 2015 D-Day Tour.
As our Director Mark Bielski says, those fortunate enough to travel on the August tour with Casey will be impressed. “We are excited to have General Brower leading our August D-Day Tour. He combines his Army career with his professorial experience that will give our guests a unique perspective of America’s involvement in the WWII European theatre.”
Casey is a graduate of West Point and received a Masters Degree in American History and a Doctorate in diplomatic and strategic history from the University of Pennsylvania. Over his Army career he served in Germany, Vietnam, and as Army Aide to President Ronald Reagan.
He has taught history and strategy at West Point, the Naval War College, and the Virginia Military Institute. He has also published books and numerous articles on American history and World War II.
Casey is Deputy Superintendent for Academics and Dean of the Faculty (Emeritus) at the Virginia Military Institute, where he now serves as professor of international studies and teaches courses in American foreign relations and grand strategy.
