George Luz to Speak About the Band of Brothers at the EAA Aviation Museum

George Luz Band of Brothers eventDo you live near Oshkosh, Wisconsin? Are you a fan of the Band of Brothers? If so, put April 27 on your calendar. That’s when George Luz, Jr. will be giving his presentation, “Remembering The Band of Brothers,” at the EAA Aviation Museum

George has some wonderful stories about his father, George Luz, and the other men of Easy Company, 506th PIR 101st Airborne Division. He got to know Dick Winters, Wild Bill Guarnere, Babe Heffron, Don Malarkey, Frank Perconte, Shifty Powers, Earl McClung, Johnny Martin, Buck Compton and others when he started attending Band of Brothers reunions in 1965.

George also travels with Senior Historian Chris Anderson on our Band of Brothers Tour, retracing the bootsteps of the men of Easy Company during World War II. Along the way, he shares his personal stories and gives his Band of Brothers lecture, enriching the experience of our guests.

For the past 7 years George has been giving lectures at organizations and to groups around the country, providing insights about these men and their families. His presentation includes audio, video and correspondence between his dad and the men he served with. He also talks about the historic sites he has visited in Europe that are significant to the Band of Brothers.

George’s presentation is part of EEA’s Aviation Adventure Speaker Series. The event will take place in the Founder’s Wing of the museum and will start at 7pm. There will be snacks and refreshments available for purchase.
