History Happy Hour: The Top Living D-Day Historian

History Happy Hour D-DayOne of the best parts of going on a Stephen Ambrose Historical Tour is crowding into the bar at happy hour to discuss the places you have been and kibbitz about various history topics.

This Sunday at 4pm EDT, historians Christopher Anderson and Rick Beyer will be back with another History Happy Hour, a livestream on the Stephen Ambrose Historical Tours Facebook page. It is our wee bit of cabin-fever relief for you.

This week, Christopher Anderson and Rick Beyer will interview Joseph Balkoski, who USA Today calls “The Top Living D-Day Historian.” They are both big fans of Joe’s work, as are many people who have an interest in the events of June 6, 1944, D-Day. If you have a question about what happened on Omaha or Utah beaches, or anything involving the 29th Division, Joe is the man to ask. Don’t forget to bring a cocktail – See you Sunday!

Tune into History Happy Hour on our Facebook page this Sunday>>

To get a preview of this entertaining, illuminating and inspiring look at history, check out last week’s History Happy Hour: “WWII Deception and Intelligence.” Rick and Chris were joined by a very special guest, Ghost Army veteran Seymour Nussenbaum.
